Lewis Schaffer: Success Is Not An Option
The Hive, Venue 313, 7:45pm 50 Minutes

This is the news of Lewis Schaffer at the Edinburgh Festival:

I made one of the “Worst Jokes of the Edinburgh Festival” according to Dave and The Mirror:

“I don’t have to worry about Operation Yewtree. Every woman I’ve ever been with denies knowing me.”

NB: I have also been told (as of 1 September 2014) that my joke was actually on a shortlist of the Top 20 jokes of the festival and merely in the ten that were not chosen as the “Best”. Hurrumph!

The Notices So Far:

“Grimly compelling if occasionally painfully unwatchable.” Bruce Dessau, Beyond the Joke

“Lewis Schaffer is like a firefly in a jar.” Kate Copstick, The Scotsman

“The main question you’re left asking is why?”  Liam McKenna, Fringe Guru

“People always walk out. It’s not comfortable listening.” The List Audience Comment

“Lewis Schaffer is an uncomfortable presence.” Laura Kidd, Three Weeks Review

“Stewart Lee albeit with a severe case of apathy. Come with few expectations.” Milo Boyd, Broadway Baby

“The fetid picture in the attic of comedy.” Roreiy Doesnt Blog

And here’s a happy song: “I’m Lewis Schaffer’s Stalker” by Blanche Cameron @blanchecameron
