11PM Saturday 13 June 2015 Nunhead Heights

Tomorrow, Sunday (or today Sunday, or yesterday Sunday, or a year ago on a Sunday) I’m at the Museum of Comedy again with my show Lewis Schaffer, International Man of Misery. The five week run ends July 5th at 6PM. I am funny and I have an almost new Edinburgh-type show I am doing within the 80 minutes of the regular show. Don’t wait for me to die before you tell me you love me. That is what killed Amy Winehouse. [Also buy tickets for my Edinburgh Show – you don’t have to come if you live too far away.]

This week I was in two blogs: First John Fleming took me to see the legendary and brilliant New York comic Jackie Mason at the Adelphi Theatre and we report on that. He remembered his act, which, at 82 is amazing. I am 58 and forget that I even have a act.  Read it here. And Gareth Vile of The List asked me a few questions about dramaturgy in my act. Yes, dramaturgy. Look it up. I had to and did.

The good news is that I have been asked for the 3rd time by Stewart Lee to do the huge Bloomsbury Theatre Resonance FM benefit show with Daniel Kitson and Stewart Lee.  It is this Monday. Last time I did it I bombed so bad it felt like I was the Enola Gay.

The bad news is that it is sold out and you cannot come. But you can give money to them.  (Resonance FM, that is.)

Last week’s show was with  comic Jojo Georgiou – from Texas but now living in the UK.  Listen here on MixCloud.  She is not only funny but spell-binding. She had her dirty knickers stolen and sold online by a friend! Listen.

This Monday we have comic Christian Talbot from Northern Ireland (or Ireland and just lives in Northern Ireland or is Northern Ireland “Occupied Ireland”?). He isn’t famous (yet) but he is funny in a serious kind of way.

The campaign to  save the Southwark Woods (sign the petition) is heating up. This is the best thing I have ever done in my entire life (maybe). Ten acres of trees and bushes and wildflowers are at risk with the possibility of gaining over 100 acres of nature reserves in Zone 2.  Help! The morticians are in favour of cutting down the trees. Quelle surprise!

I have already sold £42 of tickets for my Edinburgh Festival show Lewis Schaffer is Free until Famous, £5 at Just the Tonic Community Project. I have decided that I am going to sell out (the shows, not my values (not that I have any except that I like trees and old buildings). Get your tickets now. Please.

Again, I am at the Museum of Comedy Bloomsbury today, Sunday at 6pm –  Lewis Schaffer, International Man of Misery

Listen to all the shows or most of them, including Stewart Lee, Russell Howard and Robin Ince. Listen here on MixCloud. Our best shows, ever! Go to  Lewis Schaffer YouTube Channel. Click for songs and such.

The next gigs on the tour are this weekend in Hertford (which is kinda like North London) and Gateshead (which is kinda like South Newcastle).  Go to the Tour 2015 webpage and click the link to the show you want to see. Come and follow me on tour! Pretend I am a rock star and you are my groupie.

Use the code “American14” when buying tickets and get two tickets for the price of one.  Or pay full price so I can get payoff the two real people I owe money to. Three if you count Darrell Martin at Just the Tonic (and I do!)

MY WEBSITE: DesignMutt set it up for me.
